How's strong families and social structures as safety network? People that actually care about each other?

As opposed to conditional handouts from unaccountable bureaucracies that keep you in a perpetual victim mentality?

Of course, we can and we do have both to some extent, but what future do we really want? What's the vision here?

That's an opinion stated as a fact. And I gather you didn't watch the video, which gives the answers to your questions. After you watch it, I'd love to hear back about how well you think the case is made for it. As far as people caring about one another that's a basic tenet I have that I always write about -- how we have to go from a basis in economics to running on humanitarian concerns. How to make that switch is a vital subject to talk about!
