In the movie of his life, this would be perfect and smart, in real life, my concern is he doesn’t actually think he did anything wrong. He’s a sociopath. If he was smart, he would do this, but….
He doesn't have to be more than an imbecile to find jail a terrifying prospect! You know about those major breakthroughs people have when they hit rock bottom...???
And I'll add I don't have any edits, you nicely play to ego in parts. Of course it's just a dream, but it's nice to imagine the person who perhaps most represents take no prisoners rugged individualism concede the toll self serving lies can have on the country. There's a line in Chernobyl that goes "Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth, sooner or later that debt is paid." In this case, how nice would it be that the source of the lies pays the debt.
Why relegate it to a dream? Better to go to prison? Maybe, but maybe not. It would be interesting to watch a coach work with him to get him to be humble. You're a writer. That could be a good script. Also fun as a sketch for Saturday Night Live.
That is pie in the sky. Where have you been for 8 years? And why on earth would we waste our time analyzing and helping him? He has spent his life only in transactional circumstances. He is about himself. He is a pathological narcissist. We’ve spent enough time and money on this man, regardless of the scintilla of work he did for America. Dens must not be complacent. Trump is out. Just stop the false narrative.
This sounds like you saw the headline and didn't read the post, so how's about you do some catching up? Your perspective brought to mind our criminal justice situation where we'd rather get our pound of flesh that gets us a 75% prison recidivism rate than treat criminals humanely and get a 25% rate. In the world that works well, serving the great good is the objective and is what I was looking to do. And aren't you getting sick of him already? I don't think it's so good for us to be breathing in so much Trump air. It's like we're in a B movie.
I think aside from Trump seeming incapable of contrition, we learned that being stubbornly defensive and attacking is an incredibly effective strategy. Terrible for the collective, but beneficial for the individual.
I knew the author of a book years ago, "The Parable of the Tribes," that won awards with a premise contradicting the idea of it taking two to tango where conflict was a two-party reasonability. This book was convincing that all it took to throw a whole system into conflict was one party. Nobody ever took that book award away.
Trumps profile was accurately characterised in the film, Back to the Future, in my estimation. A true "foxy liberal" as Malcolm X astutely noted.
P.S. I discovered your work, Suzanne, on the Bring 4th website. I was a keen and active member of that forum 10 years ago, and regard Jim, Gary and Austin as extended family across the pond (of which my humble support is ongoing for L/LResearch).
And of course, Carla (nicknamed 'Alrac' by Don). I regard Carla as my mentor, alongside Marshall Rosenberg!
Just thought to overshare a little to help you characterize me x
I don't who all is on the mailing list and it's great to re-meet old cohorts like you. I hung out in the showbiz world so I should be sharper about the goings on! But segueing to politics and racial justice, although you'd know my negative opinion of both political parties, where "foxy liberals" don't get any of my praise, but still it's not opportunist Trump's current territory. I never met Marshall Rosenberg, although his nonviolent communication is a brilliant teaching we still benefit from. But I did know Carla Rueckert. I was big fan of the Law of One and her L/L Research which still is going strong. I used to promote that early Bible for new times, when we were moving away from an external god. When I saw her on the bill for the 2010 Earth Transformation Conference my crop circle documentary was still sizzling enough to get myself a slot to do a presentation and the big reward was making personal friends with soul sister Carla. (Here's her presentation: https://tinyurl.com/243zrv99.) What an amazing being, where that channeling she did is as insightful today as it was decades ago.
Thanks for unpacking how your documentary came to be on the bring 4th store.
I encouraged my mother in law to watch it too, and that was the beginning of her evaluating the world view she was so familiar. I recall her mild dissonance after watching it!
She said "They seem like lovely people" she said in a confused tone 😊
Then I honed in on detailing the difference between man made circles and the ones that were beyond explanation.
The unexplained showed no harm or damage, or any violence to the crops whatsoever!!!
I live in Colchester, Essex, in England.
Do you still visit the South of England yearly? I know you also made life long connections with your reporting there 🙂
Thanks for the link!
Although I watched every available interview of Carla back then, including the one you alluded to.
I watched "Secrets of the Ufo" before binge watching was a thing 😆
P.S. In an attempt to get back on track, I found Ken Wilbers "Trump and a Post Truth World" very helpful in understanding the sociopolitical conditions that led to his presidency. Very wordy tho in an academic sense.
And of course, the "Me Too" movement that was immediately galvanised after his appointment.
I'm currently educating myself on the work of Sinaed O'connor since her passing. Her courage has stunned me, and it's all related to the "toxic masculinity" that Trump champions.
I'm hoping it's an interesting enough proposal that it connects up people thinking about what we can do to get past how divided we are. Books? Writing? Just one that was written for him. But yes, he is stuck in a retaliatory word instead of a cooperative one. And we could put a whole library of good ideas in front of him but since he doesn't read, good luck with that. Dunno how to send it to him -- hoping somebody else does.
Well, I guess I asked for it putting this post out, "it" being responses from all over the map. How to respond to you going from seeing all of Trumps flaws to some kind of pillorying of the Democratic Party? I can't claim to understand all you are saying, but I point to my being no fan of either political party where in my other posts I talk about what we-the-people can do to bypass them both. And what do you think of the Open Letter?

I bet he thinks this note is about him 😜
Maybe you could translate it for me?????
It was a play on Carly Simon's, "your soo vein".

For example.
One of Carla's comments on her weekly radio show, back then, will never leave me.
She said, "Tell the truth and let the chips fall where they may".
How to eliminate pretty much any moral dilemma. Such a wise solution for bonafide fools like me 💚
