More big yeses for Andrew Yang and Peter Diamandis
Great thinking about politics and UBI
The most important threats to us are climate change and economic inequality. Climate change is barreling towards us while economic inequality is what we have now that gets us all the ills of our warped society. I’m on the economic inequality trail here, with this post following up on Friday’s about a Universal Basic Income event I produced a decade ago.
This is my second time around posting Andrew Yang and Peter Diamandis. This is Andrew’s podcast and the last one was Peter’s. They came from the same recording session, but different pieces were used so you get a very full picture about UBI from the two videos. There’s also more here about what would revolutionize how we nominate Presidents, and you can get wised up enough from all of this to be the smartest person in any room where the future is discussed. Please, if readers know anyone saying things that are as original and interesting about the future as what these two are saying, point me there.
So, here are two superstars of the money class who are devoted to humanity’s improvement and well-being. I so enjoyed listening to their refreshing ideas and I hope they impress you as much as they impress me.
With most subscribers being carried over here from when I was using Constant Contact and not being familiar with the Substack world, I get direct replies to each post that I’d prefer to get here so we can have the conversations I’ve been trying to generate. It’s simple to sign up. First-timers to Substack will need to create an account.
I'm a fan of Yang who is reminded every time I see him why I joined his Forward Party. I watched this a couple of weeks ago and can say it is worth every minute. These two demonstrate the kind of conversation we could and should be having, in contrast to the insanity (trying the same thing and expecting different results) of politics as usual.
The inequality of income has set the tone for how people are treated, and feel about themselves, forever. It’s why wars start. I wish the world had had the vision to give everyone the same respect, rights and pay way back when.
