In the midst of current chaos, I feel the filaments , cross currents and invisible energies weaving our heart strings. Humans who are confused, dissatisfied and seemingly lost are grasping. As more of us strengthen the filaments, pathways become more visible.
I am encouraged to express the vision I see from behind my eyes.
Dear Suzanne I just recently became aware of you through a friend of yours that posted about your Essay Contest at a community I have helped create and that I’m now a member and participant called Emergent Commons. I am happy to have come across your Substack as you are modelling an important kind of leadership at this moment. I’ll apply to your contest ( I’m still confused how to do that) but despite that I’ll still be connected here as your ‘promotion of conversations’ is also what I deeply value. See you around ( here ☺️)
I like in her speech when she says, "I have the memory in my own lifetime..." So much more impactful when a historical event can be interpreted from a personal perspective.
Things move fast in our world. That's some encouragement to think we can make meaningful moves for the good. The internet now is more of another broadcast instrument than one for conspiring, where part of the agenda I propose is a massive Coalition for the Good that could have the sort of impact taking to the streets has now.
I listened. She’s very good at pulling it all together in an intelligent deep meaningful way. That’s what she does well. But that she’s taking votes away from us being able to keep Trump out of the White House is a problem for me .
I want her to influence the people in power that would be more effective than just taking votes away. We have such critical issues at this time in our history, that we just have to pull together and press on. There are only difficult choices for those in power. Help them don’t make it harder. She’s a great educator teacher visionary. Her talents are needed and valuable.
Taking votes away applies to the presidential election. So on from there, where she's pointing to "critical issues at this time in our history" more profoundly than anyone. She could use some big cheese shining a spotlight on her. I wonder how it feels to her to have been helpful to celebrities who aren't saying anything now. I wonder why.
Right, Christine. Marianne is effectively eliminated for getting votes for President since she's not a third party candidate and the DNC has already crowned Biden as the Democratic candidate. That's unless either something happens to Biden healthwise or there's some success from the outcry about the stranglehold of the DNC supplying a candidate that most of his party don't want.

Heads up. This is the second comment to a post of mine, that came in today, that doesn't relate to the piece you are commenting on. ?????

Voting for her is a vote for Trump.
The point I make isn't to vote for her but to listen to her. Please listen to the MLK talk and come back afterwards and have a say.

It's not. She needs to get past Joe Biden first. We're still in primary season.
