Does it always come down to the lesser of two evils? Is it any wonder apathy runs so deep when it comes to American politics and the all important elections?
The state of consciousness has a longer way to go than we realized before Trump. We don't have anything really high-minded going on in politics anywhere. So, now what?
Awh, that'd be nice. I love Marianne Williamson's character, consistency and vision. Unfortunately, Kamala is just a face for whoever spent millions to denigrate and wage lawfare against RFK Jr and Jill Stein, and continue to not give Williamson any serious ear, because they are headstrong in forcing their increasingly socialist-fascist agenda (deep state military industrial complex x corporatocracy underneath the guise of caring about climate change and social issues). If only the party genuinely cared about its citizens and not furthering their acquisition of money and power in some guise of righteousness. With the patronizing minorities-for-Harris campaigns and the absurd amounts of money given to the absurd amount of illegal immigrants under Biden's VP-assigned responsibility, it appears to me they are just trying to win votes from people they can fool and ship in. Maybe the Democrat vision is good, healthy, sound - so why the subversion? Why this person who has had a terrible record pre-VP and during, who can't seem to think on her own and needs 60 Minutes & co to edit her responses from minute-long blabbering to scripted responses? Why do virtually every single Harris supporter only mention Trump when asked about their support?
I get the "good reasons" for attempting to win no-matter-what. The world is running on a fragile matrix of international agreements, perhaps incrementally made with good intentions, that is increasingly a hell for ordinary people and absurdly at threat of falling apart if a truly America-first cabinet took office. Maybe their flavor of yearning for a better, fairer, more peaceful world is not the way to go about it (seeking to collect the world through IMF-based harassment and shooting people for not complying to a sudden imposition of American culture, technology, freedom and so-called democracy). It appears to me we've reached, unfortunately, a point where things must unravel a bit - where the USA must refill its own cup before it can once again overflow to others.
And more, of course. Large complex issue, which can be summarized by Williamson's comment of this being a "spiritual crisis." Power & profit over people. "Ends justify the means" is wickedness.
We don't disagree. I think she is a terrible candidate. But so what? With Trump it's worse. And it's apocalyptically worse. Worse enough to be the end of humanity -- unless, if he gets elected, it's the final straw that gets us organized for the good.
