Crop Circles and Me

We each get our assignment in life and next Friday I’ll get into where mine, to work on changing the world’s mind, came from, but for now here’s a romance I had with the crop circles trying to do that. Of all the presentations at my house, the biggest draw was in the early 90s for a program about them. It was how something beyond human capacity was being delivered by an intelligence that was smarter than we are. Well, if we had proof we were not the only intelligence in the cosmos it would be a game changer, and that was so right for my mission I went to see them in England, the world’s hotspot for them. And then I went back. And back again.
I remember returning from England in 1996 committed to bring the circles to the world. Here’s the trailer for the movie that came from that, released in 2002 after a ten week shoot in England when I watched how a movie got made.
There was more story to tell about the mavericks from around the world who assembled each summer in Wiltshire and in Hampshire, where Stonehenge is, for the cottage industry the circles were. The film I made to deal with these colorful characters, that I started working on after the first one came out, was released in 2009.

And don’t believe the popular story now, which is that all the circles were hoaxed. The mysteries then are mysteries still and I’m hoping the interest in UFOs will spill over to a reexamination of the circles. I couldn’t find any investigative reporter who would deal with them back then, to show definitively that the hoaxers weren’t making all of them, and fingers crossed that another chance to put one to work is in the cards now.
