I’d like opinions. I watch the news at night. Afterwards, I have a yearning for something nicer to go to sleep on, like when children go to sleep we read them bedtime stories. How about me reading to you? I’d start with the best essays from our contest.
Listen to The Power of Transparency, by Glen Merzer:
I’d appreciate your comments if you think the Bedtime Stories are a good idea – that you’d listen sometimes, that you’d listen regularly and that could be every night, that you‘d recommend others to listen, or even if writers of our essays would find it valuable to have the stories to use for themselves.
That our essayists got activated thinking about the world was a happy surprise. They have a different energy from what prevails, where there isn’t any energy on what to do. It got me thinking about people flooding the net with essays, and conversation about what to do everywhere.
A couple of people have asked if they can send me essays even though the competition is over. A big yes! Hey, that could be the pebble in the pond that ripples out to go around the world! How about you all start typing?
