You are the best to wrap up where we have arrived at. Why not join our latest initiative to help get united for conversttions that matter. Follow our new ideas for a new Era: Creating "The Woman's Table" and "The Youth Table" everywhere to have civil society call the shots in their communities and learn from each other to lead from our heart - serving humanity. You find the Concept notes on our website woman.ch
I like that concept. I've looked at having a circle now, post-COVID, where it would be good to do it as part of a greater effort. It's so surprising to find an organization I've never heard of that's been doing such good work for so long. It feels a little surreal, like it's a movie and not real life.
Where the Women's Tables are your latest project after so many years of devotion to getting us to the world we'd like to be in, I wonder if the ante for organizers is too high for the sweeping success it would be great for you to have. I'd love to be wrong, and that you've been deluged with people offering to lead a circle, but it's food for thought if not. I'll plug into your Zoom training for organizers to check it out.
I see, in your Honorary Committee, the late Robert Muller, the Under Secretary of the UN, who was deeply one of us, who asked me to visit him at the UN when I was doing The Cosmic Fuel Pump: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qYlf-Im3qc&list=PLUPNg7heGmgd0H-TjmVLGaxeHElq8pZy1. After our meeting time was up, he said he had another appointment but wanted more of me, so I had a little lunch and then went back for another session with him. He was one of our great heroes, way ahead of most people in envisioning a possible future where community and cooperation would rule the day.
Your life, your work, and your presence carry this beautiful thread of seeking connection across people, across ideas, across the wide, trembling moment we’re all living through. What you wrote about becoming the cooperative species we’re meant to be struck a deep chord for me. It feels like the essential task of our time, not just as a concept but as a daily practice of showing up for one another with courage and imagination.
I love how you weave storytelling, honesty, humor, and vision into the same breath. The world needs more of that mix. It reminds me that even in a moment of profound planetary danger, there is still creativity, relationality, and a kind of fierce tenderness available to us. Your quote about finding a game worth playing landed exactly where it needed to. Maybe the real game now is learning to build a culture of mutual care in a world that keeps trying to pull us apart.
Thank you for inviting us into your journey and your generosity of spirit. It is voices like yours, unapologetically human, wise, mischievous, and deeply committed, that help the rest of us stay awake to the possibilities still in front of us.
You are such a wonderful writer, and it's a thrill when you work your talent on me! It's also thrilling that you are a young person, where, if humanity lasts, I could see you becoming one of its leaders.
I see the very real possibility that us lasting will not be the case, at a time when, as you say, "Maybe the real game now is learning to build a culture of mutual care in a world that keeps trying to pull us apart." How about this revision? "The real game now is learning to build a culture of mutual care in a world that's getting us agitated enough to not take it anymore!
I love how committed you are to a good life for all of humanity--cooperation, yes, that's our big task. And here's some encouragement to all who are open to love and romance after 70 or even 80! I was at a dinner party yesterday in Santa Cruz, and there were 5 couples (out of 14 guests) who had started new romantic relationships in their 70's. I am holding that vision for you, Suzanne! You would make a wonderful partner.
Hello Suzanne. I began my involvement in "today's" issues in the 1960s! So, I can relate, personally, to the perspective you bring. There was one experience I had in Boston in the early 1980s with the “peace” movement that set the stage for how I’d get involved for the rest of my life.
There were 9 “peace” groups in Boston at that time. When ever there was some appropriate march or rally, only one or a few of the groups would show up. So, I came up with the “genius” idea, “why don’t I get all the groups to cooperate and join together for these events?” I’m sure you can already see where the outcome is heading. When ever I brought members of the different groups together to discuss this, it always ended up in a very emotional argument! The irony of “peace” groups not being able to interact “peacefully“ was obvious, not only to me, but to many leading people in both government and the activist community.
There was another, greater irony, in my failure to get peace group cooperation. The reason the groups would even listen to me at all was that I played a role (small for sure) in achieving the SALT I nuclear limitation agreement with Russia in 1972. So, my failure to get “peace groups” to find agreement really brought me to confusion.
In short, I’ve focused my efforts since trying to understand why supposedly “intelligent” people, communities, nations, and the entire globe, have “literally” been at war for the last 8,000 years! The good news is, I was very lucky. I stumbled onto many profound answers. Not “all” the answers, for sure. But many that would end so much of the chaos we are observing.
While these discoveries could be a true step forward for the world, this brought up whole new categories of obstacles. I’ve written about these discoveries in 6 books. Less than 100 copies have been sold, in total. I’ve shared them in discussion groups, online articles (Medium), websites, academic conferences, etc. and even made presentations about some to the U.N. (UNESCO). So far, only one significant interaction has resulted, that with a website that has been equally stymied.
What leads me to respond to you is your focus on “Now What?” and “Looking for a committee to think with”. You clearly have the outreach to enough readers, with such good social status, to make very significant things happen.
One of my discoveries was a new method to enable large group discussions. I found an academic group that had been discussing how to “reach the public” with environmental reasoning. The discussion had gone on for over 2 years with no success. They agreed to use my method. A conclusion was reached in 2 months! Every part of your effort that I’ve looked at could produce miracles with this method. And no, I’m not even looking for one of your $100 rewards. Just write to me: bnappi {at} a3ri {dot} org .
We've come to understand the failure that came in fighting for peace, that mostly was environmental activism way back when.
Just one point to correct is your presumption about my outreach. I feel for you out of also being a voice in the wilderness struggling to be heard. But probably, like me, you keep on because you are compelled to. I’m here in Hollywood, where I’d like my life to be like movie stars who get discovered, so my ideas can matter.
I’m interested in your methodology that worked so well and anything else that makes an original contribution to a playing field that’s over-full of ain’t it awful writings. Sending me something you’ve written would be great. For longer communications between us, email me at suzanne@mightycompanions.org.
I am a witness to the fact that you have been there before most. Ahead of your time. From EST, to rebirthings in hot tubs, to The Course in Miracles, to Crop Circles and beyond. And you're still at it, where most would have given up. What keeps you going?
Susan, Obviously motivated by your own similar concerns, you re-stacked Justin’s very informative piece re: the AI boom. I responded to him, and I’d like to share that with you as well. So, to Justin:
Thank you for all the important details. It just gets worse the more we know. From what I've been learning, the mindset is not "Growth is God." Rather, it is "Control is God." That is what is motoring the damn the torpedoes full speed ahead- stand back and shut up - breakneck race that we are observing. The Golden Ring is the attainment of the power to break ANY digital code ANYWHERE ANYTIME. (Think obliteration, blackmail - nuclear, energy grids, secrets.) And the nation that gets there first, via AI of course, becomes God, the destroyer and bringer of Life. So, the nations that are in the AI race are employing the full force of their military, their corporations, their governments, their treasuries, and their top tier talent. With survival as the goal, everything else rapidly recedes in importance. And as Nature, along with our private lives, our cities, mobility, and sovereignty are increasingly affected, we already have a roadmap to follow. We've recently been taught that a declaration of a "national emergency" supersedes all else. Rights. Laws. All.
What a life you have lead. The Cosmic Cheerleader rises again!
We do go back, darling child. Now there's a link I didn't give, to the 36 programs I did on local TV, for a producer who wanted me to practice to be a hotshot speaker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qYlf-Im3qc&list=PLUPNg7heGmgd0H-TjmVLGaxeHElq8pZy1

Can this go viral, where, if successful, I could become one of your clients for the wonderful work you do, therapizing couples?

This is such a cool autobiography. Now I know where your profile name comes from! :-)
