Coming Alive! Preventing and Healing Early Childhood Traumatic Wounds
Free summit that I’m in for dropping addictive behavior and restoring self-confidence
I wish I’d been smarter about how to be a parent, for my children to feel secure and to be authentic, responsible people. We’ve gotten much wiser since my day, and now my ally, Susan Curry, has put together an impressive online program of modern smarts so people who parent and work with children can be wiser than I was. This is from her bio on the website, where you’ll find all the speakers: “She is creating summits and curricula to raise emotionally literate, relational, Earth-connected children.”
I’m not the big cheese. This is just my part:
Introducing The Trauma-Free Childhood Summit, a complimentary, six-day virtual event with a large roster of speakers with expertise in different disciplines, who will share strategies they use related to self-loving, belonging, authenticity, and trust in collaborative creativity.
What to expect:
Increased understanding and love in dealing with children
Being able to care for everyone’s needs in conflict situations
The ability to create smooth sailing after disruptions
Ways to make behavioral interventions and nurture a child’s unique gifts
Lots of learning about the attitudes that allow for mutual growth
Practices for a kind, compassionate, collaborative, and inclusive future
What I’m contributing is to encourage heroism as the best way to stay untraumatized or to undo what laid people low from their earlier times in life. There’s a new creation story we need to adopt for what we are doing here, that’s in my Brian Swimme playlist. It’s where we aren’t born sinners, but from birth would be proud of our privilege to be human.
Especially with so many refugees now and in the predictable future, all over the world, we’ll need the trauma smarts you’ll find in this summit in the time coming up, and anyone who works in education will find a community that celebrates enlightened parenting and teaching here.
This isn’t the usual cast of characters of a new age bent. These presenters are people with hefty credits and sophisticated teaching methodologies. They are practitioners who command high fees from clients, so it’s our good fortune that this whole summit is free.
